Ben is Group Strategy Director and a member of 3i's Executive Committee and Investment Committee.

Prior to joining 3i, Ben spent 12 years in investment banking, latterly as Executive Director within Morgan Stanley's UK investment banking business. Prior to that, Ben was a Principal of Greenhill & Co. International, where he spent 8 years focusing on European M&A, Financing Advisory and Restructuring. Ben began his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs where he worked in the Natural Resources team focusing on utilities, infrastructure, oil & gas and metals & mining.

Ben has first-class B.A. Honours and first-class M.Sci. degrees in Experimental & Theoretical Physics from Cambridge University. He won the Skerne Scholarship for distinction in Physics and was a St Catharine's College scholar.
