Martin Haemmig
Adj. Prof. Dr. Martin Haemmig specializes as international researcher, lecturer and consultant on "The Globalization of Venture Capital", covering 13 countries in Asia, Europe, Israel, and the United States. His research and teaching are in conjunction with leading schools, such as Stanford, University of California, UniBW in Munich. As of 2005 he teaches at China’s top universities Tsinghua, Renmin, Peking in Beijing and in 2006 at Fudan and JiaoTong in Shanghai. at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology ETH Zurich.
As domain expert, Martin Haemmig is a working group member of the World Economic Forum for venture capital related projects. He is co-chairman for Research & Statistics at the Swiss PE/VC Association (SECA) and co-chairs the Swiss National PhD Coaching Program for dissertations on Venture Capital for all Swiss universities, and acted as trainer at America’s NVCA on “Globalizing Venture Capital”.
He recently joined the board of China’s only government approved Venture Capital Policy Research Institute at Renmin University, where he is also co-founding professor of the world’s first PhD program in venture capital. Martin Haemmig consults a few leading global venture capital firms, investors and governments and is a frequent conference speaker on all continents. Martin Haemmig has both his doctor degree in business and his MBA from California and an engineering degree in electronics from Switzerland. During his over 20 years of industry experience as technologist and business executive, he became Swiss national marketing champion in 1994.
