As a director within 3i's Asian growth capital business, Anna is responsible for deal origination and execution of transactions in North Asia with focus in China. Besides investment expertise in media and consumer retail sectors, Anna is increasingly focused in developing 3i’s healthcare strategy in China.
Anna’s investment track record includes the successful investments in South Korea’s leading multiplex cinema chain, CJ CGV and China’s leading fire alarm system provider, GST, and the merger and refinancing of pan-European directories business, Yellow Brick Road (YBR) . Other investments made include Little Sheep, a hot-pot restaurant chain, in China.
Anna joined 3i in 2001 as part of the founding team member in the 3i Hong Kong office. In 2003, she was seconded to the London buyout team on a specific transaction and subsequent returned to Hong Kong in 2004.
Anna has an BA in Computer Science from University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Prior to 3i, Anna spent three years with Intel Capital and JH Whitney focusing on telecommunications and information technology investments in North Asia. Before that, she worked in investment banking with Salomon Brothers, New York and Bankers Trust, Hong Kong in the areas of corporate finance, capital markets and M&As.
