Our Buyouts business invests across Europe in mid-market transactions worth up to around €1bn, targeting approximately 15 investments each year. Currently, our total funds under management of approximately €8bn includes majority interests in some 65 companies. At the end of 2006 we completed the raising of Eurofund V, the largest fund focused on mid-market buyouts yet raised.

To take us forward in this highly competitive market, we need high achievers who can help us to source and act on exciting new investment opportunities. These businesses offer scope for long-term and in-depth involvement throughout the deal cycle. This can mean sourcing the deal, perhaps introducing a new management team, working with management to develop strategy, investment management and finding the right opportunity to exit.

We look for versatile investors who can be confident around each stage of the deal, not just one aspect. It’s essential to be decisive and have sound business judgement at a strategic level, but also be process-oriented (especially for more junior roles) and have reliable project management skills. Relationship skills are important at all levels, but particularly so for Directors and Partners as deal leaders and ambassadors of the firm.
