Maite joined 3i in 1996 and was appointed local director in 2003 and she has more than ten years of international investment experience. She started her career at GTE Corporation (Verizon) as a finance executive. She then joined Booz Allen and Hamilton as a management consultant for six years, in strategy design and organizational restructuring for leading multinationals. Maite has led over 25 deals in both buyouts and growth capital in Spain and Portugal. She specialises in healthcare, media and support services, and she is an active member of the European private equity leadership team. Key deals that she has been involved include Segur Iberica, (security services), Hospor Hospitals (healthcare services) and Clinica Baviera (eye laser surgery).  She has served on the boards of ten companies during her years at 3i.Maite has an MBA from Columbia University in New York and degrees in finance and political science from Boston College.
