Whilst 3i does not have a formal human rights policy, our policies and our approach as a responsible employer are consistent with internationally-proclaimed human rights principles.
In addition, as a responsible investor, 3i is committed to ensuring that the businesses in which it invests respect the human rights of their workers by:
- maintaining safe and healthy working conditions for their employees and contractors;
- treating their employees fairly and paying wages in line with applicable minimum wage legislation and industry standards; and
- upholding the right to freedom of association and collective bargaining.
3i will not invest in businesses or activities which use forced or harmful child labour. 3i is also committed to investing only in businesses which respect the health, safety and well being of those adversely affected by their business activities.
