Every year 3i Group plc, like other companies, sends out numerous pages of paper when it communicates with shareholders.
However, new provisions within the Companies Act 2006 now allow companies to communicate more widely with shareholders via electronic means (although all shareholders are of course still entitled to continue to receive hard copy shareholder communications if that is their preference).
Receiving your shareholder communications from 3i Group in electronic form, rather than by paper through the post, will:
- Reduce 3i Group's printing, paper and postage costs, and in turn the environmental impacts of these; and
- Allow you to receive shareholder documentation quickly and without the risk of it being lost in the post.
When you register for e-communications, at the appropriate times each year you will be sent a link to the relevant documents on our website, for example the Report and accounts and Notice of Annual General Meeting, by e-mail instead of post.
You will also be able to make proxy appointments and give voting instructions electronically via the Shareview website.
