Gustav Bard is the Managing Director of the Nordic region and Senior Partner of 3i. In Denmark the buyout team is lead by Director Steffen Thomsen and the Growth Capital team is lead by Director Morten Windfeldt.

We have strong sector expertise in a wide range of sectors. We work closely with our 3i colleagues across the world to ensure that in each investment situation we put together the “right team for the job”, drawing on the experience and knowledge of our extensive network of professionals.

We target opportunities as follows:

• Our Buyouts Team seeks to invest alongside management in Nordic businesses with an enterprise value up to €1bn.

• In Growth Capital we work in partnership as minority shareholders with management, investing €10-150 million to support Nordic companies in their organic growth, share purchases or acquisition strategy.

In most cases we invest from our own balance sheet, so we are flexible, committed and patient investors.  For each investment, we let the exit strategy evolve in line with the company’s needs.
