Eric joined 3i in August 2007 and is based in Hong Kong. Prior to 3i, Eric worked briefly as a Principal for Adams Street Partners, one of the largest managers of private equity investments in the world with US$15 billion Asset-Under-Management, and contributed to the firm's primary and secondary private equity investments in Asia, with a focus on China. Before joining Adams Street Partners, Eric spent 6 years in Investment Banking with both Merrill Lynch in New York and HSBC in Hong Kong, where he sourced and executed several major M&A and capital market transactions in China. Previously, he also worked for Motorola and Ministry of Commerce in China.

Mr. Xu holds an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Beijing University of Post & Telecom.
