Our French investment team includes 13 investment professionals, operating from offices in Paris. The team is led by Guy Zarzavatdjian and includes partners Rémi Carnimolla, Denis Ribon and Olivier Le Gall.  The French team works as one with 3i’s wider network across Europe, Asia and the US, so that we put together the ‘right team for the job’ for each investment opportunity we assess.  Because we mainly invest from our own balance sheet, we are flexible and committed investors.
The French team is experienced in a wide range of sectors, including Business Services, Consumer Goods and Retail, General Industrial, Healthcare, Media & Technology and Financial Services.

Our business areas:

• Buyouts (typical enterprise value up to €1bn)
  We acquire majority stake in established, mid-cap companies that have outstanding management teams and excellent prospects for growth.  Often we are helping existing management teams to acquire the business they work for, enabling the spin-out of a non-core division from a multinational corporation or supporting preparations for an IPO. 
• Growth Capital
  Our Growth Capital business is the world’s leading dedicated growth investor. We invest in privately-owned, high growth, profitable international businesses across Europe, Asia and North America.  Typically we invest up to €150m in businesses with enterprise values ranging from €100m - €1bn, taking a non-controlling minority stake.   Once we have invested, we are committed to working in partnership to help our investee companies build exceptional businesses.
