Our people

Samir joined 3i in September, 2005 as a Director in the Growth Capital business, based in Mumbai. He has worked on investments such as Mundra, Welspun, ITL etc. He is currently a Partner in 3i’s Infrastructure business.

Prior to joining 3i, Samir worked for 10 years with Citigroup across banking & investment banking. Prior to joining Citigroup, Samir worked at Asian Capital Partners and Arthur Andersen. Samir has extensive experience in a range of sectors – telecom/media, energy (oil & gas, power), automobiles/auto-components, leisure/consumer, metals and mining and financial services. Samir is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a BCom degree from Bombay University.
