Gustav Bard is the Managing Director of the Nordic region and Senior Partner of 3i. He leads the investment teams, together with partners Hannu Isohaaro, Mattias Eklund, Fredrik Karlsson, Tomas Ekman and Klas Hillström.

We have strong sector expertise in a wide range of sectors. We work closely with our 3i colleagues across the world to ensure that in each investment situation we put together the “right team for the job”, drawing on the experience and knowledge of our extensive network of professionals.

We target opportunities as follows

• our Buyouts Team seeks to invest alongside management in Nordic businesses with an enterprise value up to €1bn.
• in Growth Capital we work in partnership as minority shareholders with management, investing typically up to €250 million to support Nordic companies in their organic growth, share purchases or acquisition strategy.

In most cases we invest from our own balance sheet, so we are flexible and committed investors. For each investment, we let the exit strategy evolve in line with the company’s needs.
