Our Norwegian team is led by Tomas Ekman and Martin Gjølme and we have a team of 11 investment professionals in our offices in Stockholm and Copenhagen who work across Demark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.  Drawing on 3i Group’s resources, our local team can provide financial experience, sector knowledge and company management practice together with a wide-ranging international network of contacts.

We use these to deliver tangible benefits to the companies we invest in and the partners we work with.

We actively invest in 5 core sectors: Business and Financial Services, Industrials and Energy, Healthcare, Technology, Media & Telecoms and Consumer. We have a successful track record in the Norwegian market and examples of our former investments include Revus, Noreco, Aibel, Epcon and RXT.

Buyouts
Our Buyouts business seeks to invest alongside management in Nordic businesses with an enterprise value of up to and around €500m.

Growth Capital
Our Growth Capital business is the world’s leading dedicated growth investor. We typically invest up to €150m in privately-owned, high growth, profitable international businesses with an enterprise value of up to and around €500m, taking a non-controlling minority stake. Once we have invested, we are committed to working in partnership to help our investee companies build exceptional businesses.

Our Nordic portfolio includes current investments such as Alö, Eltel, HTC Sweden, Inspecta, KemFine, OneMed, Scandlines, Soya Concept A/S, Sulake and Xellia.

Recent realisations include Ambea, Balco, DNA, Empower and Yellow Brick Road.
