Investing primarily in utilities, transportation and social infrastructure in the UK, Europe and India.

3i invests in the infrastructure market through two vehicles and through some additional co-investments. At 30 September 2012, 3i had infrastructure assets under management of £1.6bn.

3i Infrastructure plc

3i Infrastructure plc (“3iN”) is a listed investment company, which is building a diversified portfolio of infrastructure investments with a focus on core infrastructure in Europe and the UK. It also invests in India through a commitment to the 3i India Infrastructure Fund.

3iN listed on the London Stock Exchange in March 2007 and is a constituent of the FTSE 250. As at 30 September 2012, it had a net asset value and a market capitalisation of around £1.1bn. 3i has a 34% holding in 3iN and acts as its Investment Adviser.

3i India Infrastructure Fund

The 3i India Infrastructure Fund (“3iIIF”) is a $1.2bn Limited Partnership fund established to invest in the Indian infrastructure market. Its investment period ended in November 2012 and it now has a portfolio of seven investments in the power, roads and port sectors. 3i and 3iN each have a $250m commitment to 3iIIF.
