Our experienced team of in-house banking professionals provides debt advisory services that support both our portfolio companies and 3i’s investment decision making. The team operates internationally and provides a common point of contact across all our investment offices.  Having executed a wide array of transactions internationally, the team brings a breadth of experience across the debt product spectrum.

Our team advises on all key financing stages.  During the pre-acquisition and primary financing stages this involves:  close monitoring of the debt capital markets for primary issuance; identification of the most commercially attractive acquisition debt package; evaluating pricing, structure and executing documentation; as well as attracting a supportive group of banks and, where appropriate, underwriting debt for 3i Private Equity to offer a competitive advantage

Over the course of our ownership, the banking team’s support includes:

  • Debt syndicate management
  • Treasury (hedging and alternative / ancillary sources or capital) / working capital
  • Assistance on waivers, amendments and refinacings / recapitalisations
