Neil Harding

Director, Fund Investor Relations

As Director of Fund Management, Neil has been closely involved in numerous 3i fundraisings since he began to focus on this area in 1994, most recently in 3i Eurofund V (€5bn, 2006), 3i India Infrastructure ($1.2bn, 2007) and the 3i Growth Capital Fund (€1.2bn, 2010). He has also been involved in several co-investments by third party investors alongside 3i in private equity portfolio companies including Action, Hilite and Ambea.

Neil also has responsibility for ensuring that investors in 3i's private equity funds receive top quality service when it comes to reports on the progress of the funds they are invested in, as well as information on 3i more generally.

Neil originally joined 3i in 1987 in an investment team based in London focused on larger buyouts. During those initial years, he worked as part of a team on a number of 3i's larger buyouts, including Compass Group, Associated Fresh Foods and Zotefoams.

Prior to joining 3i, Neil qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG, having taken an honours degree in Mathematics and Economics at Cambridge University.

Neil is a member of the Professional Standards Committee of the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association ('EVCA'), and also sits on the EVCA Working Group on Accounting Standards, Valuation and Reporting.
