As Director of Fund Management, Neil is a key member of 3i's Fund Investor Relations Team, with responsibility for ensuring that investors in 3i's private equity funds get top quality service when it comes to reports on the progress of the funds they are invested in as well as information on 3i more generally.

Neil has also been closely involved in numerous 3i fund-raisings since he began to focus on this area in 1994, most recently in 3i Eurofund V (€5bn, 2006), 3i India Infrastructure ($1.2bn, 2007) and the 3i Growth Capital Fund (€1.2bn, 2010).

Neil originally joined 3i in 1987 in an investment team based in London focused on larger buyouts. During those initial years, he worked as part of a team on a number of 3i's larger buyouts, including Compass Group, Associated Fresh Foods and Zotefoams. Prior to joining 3i, Neil qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG, having taken an honours degree in Mathematics and Economics at Cambridge University.
