Biography

Agustin has been a local director at 3i since 1990 and he has more than 25 years of investment experience. He started his career in corporate banking at BBVA in 1982, and became regional director in 1985. He joined 3i Spain in 1990, becoming a local director in the Barcelona office in 1992. In 2000 he was also appointed operations director of 3i Spain and Growth Capital Partner in 2006.

Agustín specialises in growth capital and buyouts across Spain. Key deals that he has been involved with include Step Two (retail chain), Sintax Logística (vehicles transport and logistics), Intermas (plastic nets for packaging and gardening), Esbelt (conveyor belts manufacturer), Automoviles Utilitarios (dumpers and forklifts manufacturer), Transmol (petrol and liquid gas transport company), Renta Corporacion (buildings transformation) and Café Y Té (coffee shops chain).

As well as serving on the boards of Transmol, Hitecsa and Cafe y Te, Agustín has been involved with 13 other boards.

He is also a fellow of the ESADE business school.Agustín has an MBA from IESE and a degree in economics from ESADE (Ramon Llull University of Barcelona).
