Biography

Alex joined 3i in 2006 as a founding member of the US Growth Capital team.  Prior to joining 3i, Alex invested in technology, financial and business services industries at FTVentures, Voyager Capital and Monitor Ventures. During his private equity career, Alex has been involved in many investments, including Actimize, Coremetrics, Fulcrum Limited, Global Market Insite, Intrepid Learning Solutions and Trustwave.  Alex was also a strategy consultant at Monitor Group where he advised clients in technology, telecommunications, and healthcare industries and held operating roles in product management at Microsoft and Trilogy Software. Alex received his AB in Economics and MS in Engineering from Stanford University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa, and has an MBA with high distinction (Baker Scholar) from Harvard Business School.
