Tony O'Carroll is a Director in the UK private equity team. Prior to joining 3i, Tony spent 4 years at TowerBrook Capital Partners, a private equity firm. At TowerBrook he was involved in identifying and evaluating new deals and was a founding member of the Portfolio Support Group working to improve portfolio company performance. Deals he worked on include Haymarket Financial, Autodistribution, Odlo, Capquest and Pack2Pack.

Previously, Tony spent 10 years at Bain & Company, working on strategy, performance improvement and turnaround assignments. His last role at Bain was managing the London Private Equity Group, leading commercial diligence work. He has worked across a wide range of sectors, including: Consumer & Luxury Goods, TMT, Financial Services, Industrial and Healthcare.

Tony was previously a non-executive Director of an SME in the corporatewear sector. Tony holds an LLB from Trinity College Dublin and is a qualified UK Barrister.
