Biography
Bernie is a lead partner in 3i Buyouts heading the healthcare team on a global basis and has been working for 3i since 1996. His key investments include Micromet AG, a promising biotechnology company focused on oncology, and Pulsion Medical Systems AG, a company specialising in cardiac monitoring devices. He also led the investment and successful €480m sale of betapharm, a leading German generic drug company, and most recently a USD395m investment in Alpharma API where he also serves on the board.
Bernie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the Claremont Colleges and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at Berkeley, University of California.
