Biography
Chris joined 3i in September 2005. Prior to joining 3i, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte in London, latterly in their Transaction Services division.
He specialises in buyout investments in the UK and continental Europe, particularly in the General Industrial space. Chris also spent 7 months working in the Singapore Buyout team returning in April 2009.
Deals in which Chris has worked on include the £237m public to private acquisition of Civica Plc, the $780 million investment in Dockwise, its’ subsequent $2.0 billion merger with Sealift on the Oslo OTC and in July 2007 the $47 million acquisition by Dockwise of two Houston based Oil and Gas engineering companies, OKI and ODL. Previously, Chris also worked on the buy and build combination of Telecity, Redbus and Globix to create the European market leader for carrier neutral co-location and web hosting, and the £137 million acquisition of the Mayborn Group.
Chris has an MSc in International Financial Markets from the University of Southampton, an honours degree in Geography from the University of Nottingham and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
