Daniel is a Sector Partner at 3i with a focus on internet, media and consumer technology investments.
He joined 3i at the start of 2006 and is involved in new investments in and working with 3i's digital media & technology portfolio on a global basis and covering minority investments and buyouts. Examples of companies Daniel has been involved in investments in/worked with are: demandmedia.com (next gen online media company), fotolog.net (world's largest photo blogging site), habbohotel.com (leading teen virtual world/community), garlik.com (online identity management), buyvip.com (shopping community), hdpi.com (leading home improvements e-tailer), bluelithium.com (behavioural advertising network), taptu.com (mobile search engine), agentprovocateur.com (luxury brand lingerie retailer), intermediar.nl (online recruitment site), carbonite.com (online PC backup), twenga.com (product comparison) and fastbooking.com (direct Internet hotel bookings). Prior to 3i, he spent 6 years with Yahoo! in the corporate development team. He was involved in the strategic planning of the European business and managed the acquisition process on a number of major deals. His experience with Yahoo! included the areas of search, communications, media, advertising and communities and also spent time focussing on underlying technologies and the mobile data space. Daniel also spent 3 years as a consultant with PwC as part of a specialist business modelling team. He has a BA and DPhil in Applied Mathematics from Oxford University. Print this page | ||
