Biography
Dominic joined 3i in 2002 and is currently responsible for 3i’s business development function in Asia. His role is to be a dedicated resource in supporting the increasing needs of our international portfolio across all 3i’s business lines, whether Asian businesses into Europe and the US, or supporting the international expansion of 3i’s European portfolio. In this role, Dominic has helped 3i’s portfolio companies establish operations in India, China and S.E. Asia, and been involved in projects to build manufacturing operations, establish sales networks, assist with sourcing requirements, as well as assist with market-entry via M&A into the region.
Dominic moved to join the Asia team in 2005, prior to which he was focussed on deal origination within the buyout team in London. Investment highlights include his involvement in the 3i acquisition of Jung Pumpen, from Masco Corporation, in 2004. Before joining 3i, Dominic worked in the technology industry for a VC-backed systems integration consultancy, in sport & leisure.
Dominic has a Masters degree in management studies and technology from the University of London; and an undergraduate degree from the University of Southampton.
