Our people

Ian is a Senior Director and Portfolio Manager for 3i Debt Management. He joined the Company in 2011 following the acquisition of Mizuho Investment Management (MIM) from Mizuho Corporate Bank. Prior to joining 3i, Ian started at Mizuho in January 2006 and headed up the Portfolio Management function for the Harvest and Windmill series of CLOs. With assets under management totalling circa €3.25bn his responsibilities included allocating collateral across funds, secondary loan trading and optimising the fund's performance in terms of return, diversity and risk.

Ian has over 15 years of banking experience having previously held structured finance roles at Deutsche Bank and derivatives and fixed-income positions at JPMorgan Chase. Ian holds a BA Hons degree from the University of Kent. Ian is approved to perform the FSA controlled function 30.
