Biography

Over the last decade Dr Egberts has served in various general management roles in both specialty pharma and medical devices companies. Most recently, he served as COO of Dynogen and CEO of Novadel, two specialty pharmaceutical companies. Prior to that, Dr Egberts initiated the leveraged buy out of the BARRIER® surgical drapes and gowns business from Johnson & Johnson and its subsequent merger with Molnlycke Healthcare, Inc, a private equity-backed Swedish company.

Dr Egberts served as President of Molnlycke’s BARRIER® Surgical division and as Chairman of Molnlycke Healthcare, Inc. The business was ultimately divested to APAX partners. Prior to Molnlycke, Dr Egberts served as Vice President of Worldwide Business & Market Development of Johnson & Johnson Medical where he was also a member of the Global Executive Board of this division.

Prior to J&J, Dr Egberts was with Merck & Co where he was responsible for the US market launch of FOSOMAX®. He also served as an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company in the US and Europe. He has been a board member of a number of both public and privately held medical devices and specialty pharma companies.
