Biography
Jan-Olivier joined 3i in 2007 and focuses on late stage private equity investments across Europe, with a particular focus on the TMT space. Recent deals in which Jan-Olivier has been involved include the acquisition of Vedici (French acute care company) and the refinancing of VNU Media (Dutch careers classified and B2B magazines group). Jan-Olivier is also actively involved with 3i's investment in Chorion, the owner of brands such as Noddy, the Mr Men and Agatha Christie.
Prior to joining 3i, Jan-Olivier worked in investment banking at Jefferies Broadview where he focused on media and technology. Jan-Olivier advised on a number of transactions, including Microsoft's acquisition of ScreenTonic, Amdoc’s acquisition of Cramer and Wavecom’s acquisition of the M2M Communications Business Unit of Sony Ericsson. Prior to joining Jefferies Broadview, Jan-Olivier held software development positions at Roche (US) and Ascom (Switzerland).
Education: Msc. in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics; Msc. in Communication Systems from the Swiss Institute of Technology (EPFL).
