Biography

Javier has been in 3i since 2000 and he has more than ten years of international business experience. He started his career as an auditor with Ernst & Young before joining Chase Manhattan as an analyst. He then joined TelePizza as an international corporate development executive, eventually becoming a corporate development manager and assistant to the CEO. Javier specialises in generating and executing oppportunities in the growth capital team. Additionally, he has extensive experience in portfolio management, and has worked thoroughly on exit strategies. Key deals that he has been involved in include: the investment of Everis, Bouncopy, Café & Té and Clinicas Baviera, the divestment of Hospor, a private Hospital Chain; and Pomar, the leading Spanish shop fitter. Javier serves on the boards of Bouncopy and SIA; and has been in more than 30 Boards. He is also a fellow of the CUNEF business school. Javier has an MBA from IESE and a BA from CUNEF in Madrid. He speaks Spanish, Catalan, German, French and English.
