Biography
Jo joined Management Committee as the Head of 3i’s Venture Capital business in 2005. He has responsibility for the strategic and operational development of this global business line, which operates across three continents from eight offices and two strategic partnerships.
Jo has over 20 years of investment experience, and has backed high growth companies in all areas of private equity and venture capital internationally, with more recently a greater emphasis on healthcare. Since heading the Venture group, Jo has led its shift in strategic direction to focus more resource and capital on later stage investments with fewer aligned investment themes. Jo is actively involved in all investment discussions within the Venture business line.
Outside 3i, Jo is currently the Chairman of the BVCA Venture Committee, a BVCA council member.and an investment committee of MVM, a venture capital fund focusing on European and US life science investments.
Jo has an MBA from Manchester Business School.
