Biography

As a portfolio Manger within 3i'sSMi team Karl has a broad remit that involves resposibilty for portfolio companies across the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. He has particular experience of the chemicals, building products, property and construction sectors.

Karl's divestment track record includes the disposals of Strategy Group PLC, UFC Ltd, JP Corry, Land Instruments, Libra Chemicals and Armstrong Laing and successful further investments into Emerson and Renwick and Powder Systems Ltd.

Karl began his 3i career in Liverpool moving to Manchester in 2003. His current role as portfolio manager is based in Manchester.

Karl has a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University, and prior to 3i worked in a variety of roles with Natwest Bank.
