Our people

As a partner within 3i's European Private Equity business, Ken has a broad range of sector experience gained from investing in and sitting on the boards of some of our most successful private equity investments.

Ken's track record includes our highly successful realised investments in Local Press, Encon, Extec and HSS and our ongoing investments in Hobbs (UK), Shearings (UK) and Azelis (pan European).

Ken joined 3i in 1992 and since then has worked in many of 3i's UK regional offices. He currently works from Leeds and London.

Prior to joining 3i Ken gained a Bsc (hons 1st Class) degree in Mathematics and Theoretical Physics from the University of St Andrews before joining Shell in the UK finance division based in London and then Aberdeen. He qualified ACMA (Chartered Management Accountant) while with Shell.
