Biography

As a partner within 3i's European buyout business, Ken has a broad range of sector experience gained from investing in and sitting on the boards of some of our most successful buyouts investments. His current focus is on the General Industrial sector.

Ken's track record includes our highly successful realised investments in Local Press, Encon, Extec and HSS and our ongoing investments in Shearings (UK) and Azelis (Italy).

Ken joined 3i in 1992 and since then has worked in many of 3i's UK regional offices. As a partner in our European buyout business he currently works from London and Leeds.

Ken has a Bsc in Mathematics and Theoretical Physics from the University of St Andrews. Before joining 3i he worked for Shell in their finance division based in London and then Aberdeen. He gained an ACMA (Chartered Management Accountant) qualification while with Shell.
