Lars Erik Blom has been employed at 3i since 2001 and has more than 10 years’ experience of the private equity sector. Lars Erik specializes in growth capital, but also has solid experience of buyouts. Key deals that he has been involved in include Nordic Modular, ABA, Ålö and Balco. Lars Erik has been on the board of more than 15 companies and is currently a director of Ålö, Balco and Teknikmagasinet.

Lars Erik began his career as financial controller in a family company before joining Lagerstedt & Krantz as CFO. He later joined the finance group Optimum as CFO with responsibility for group financing. In 1993 he joined the private equity company Produra, which was acquired by Atle in 1998.

He has an MBA from the University of Stockholm with a specialization in accounting and finance.
