Biography

Mattias Eklund joined 3i in 2001 through its acquisition of Atle where he had worked since 2000. He focuses his efforts on Nordic buyouts. While he works on opportunities in most sectors, Mattias has developed particular expertise in the consumer sector. In addition, he is the Nordic liaison for 3i’s media sector team. Prior to Atle, Mattias was a corporate business development manager for The Coca-Cola Company in the USA, advising Coke group management on strategy and M&A opportunities. He holds an MSc in Accounting & Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics. Mattias serves on the boards of directors of Lekolar and Eltel and has previously served on the board of, inter alia, Gant.
