Our people

Michael Tai joined 3i in 2010, where he focuses on business services investments. Michael has been involved with the TouchTunes Interactive Networks, Quintiles, and GAIN Capital investments, and he is currently a board observer of TouchTunes.

Prior to 3i, Michael was at General Atlantic, where he worked on investments in the financials services, consumer, and media sectors. Michael worked on General Atlantic’s acquisition of AKQA and also supported their investment in NYSE Euronext. Michael started his career at Morgan Stanley, where he was a member of the Investment Banking Division’s Financial Institutions Group.

Michael received a BA in Political Science from Columbia University and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was the recipient of a Rock Entrepreneurial Summer Fellowship. He is actively involved with non-profit organizations and serves on the Social Investment Committee of Echoing Green.
