Biography

Michel is an Operating Partner and a Senior Advisor within the 3i Buyout team, based in London and Paris, and a member of the General Industry European team. Until last year Michel was CEO of the Atys Group, the global leader in fruit preparations for the dairy and bakery industries with a turnover of € 600 million. Atys, a former Pernod Ricard company, went through an LBO process in 2002 and was acquired at the beginning of 2006 by an Austrian sugar Group.

Prior to Atys, Michel held several executives position in the Rhône-Poulenc / Rhodia Group, in France, the UK, Brazil, the USA and Asia. For three years he was President of the Agrochemicals Division (a company with a turnover of $ 2,200 million, 30 plants and 5 research centres in France, the USA, the UK and Japan). Prior to that he was VP of the Fibres and Polymers Division (nylon and polyester, $ 1,000 million) for 5 years. An X-Mines, Michel attended the Corps des Mines, one of the great technical corps of the French state, and began his career in the French High Civil Service.
