Biography

Mikel has been more than 8 years in 3i, with focus is the buyout business in Spain including origination, execution and value creation. He has been a board member of several companies in the retail, software, and industrial sectors and he has a strong focus on value creation and exit planning. As an example, Mikel has been serving on the boards of Pepe Jeans, AC hotels, TCB ports, Ballesol and Gesinar. Mikel joined 3i in 1998 to manage the Spanish and Portuguese portfolios. Before joining 3i Mikel studied business and law at ICADE in Spain and was head of a structured finance team at Paribas.
