Biography
As Director of Fund Management, Neil is a key part of 3i's Investor Relations Team, with responsibility for ensuring that investors in 3i's Coinvestment Funds get top quality service when it comes to reports on the progress of the funds they are invested in as well as information on 3i's Buyout business. He has also been involved in numerous 3i fund-raisings since he began to focus on this area in 1994, most recently in the fund-raise for the highly successful 3i Eurofund V, which in 2006 raised €5bn for investment in European mid-market buyouts.
Neil originally joined 3i in 1987 in an investment team based in London focused on larger buyouts. During those initial years, he worked as part of a team on a number of 3i's larger buyouts, including Compass Group, Associated Fresh Foods and Zotefoams.
Prior to 3i, Neil qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG, having taken an honours degree in Mathematics and Economics at Cambridge University.
