Biography

Neil is a Sector Partner at 3i and has over 20 years of international industrial experience. He began his career at TI and Alusuisse, followed by a period in field operations with Schlumberger in Africa and the Middle East. He subsequently moved to the States with GE Inc. as a Project Director. He then returned to the UK to run a division of a quoted light engineering company before joining 3i in 1996. Neil specialises in the energy sector. He also evaluates process and general manufacturing companies worldwide.

Neil has been closely involved in a wide variety of transactions at 3i. These include: Sensa (fiber optics/ oil); Venture Production, CH4, Pearl, Noreco, Revus and Highland Energy (oil companies); Dockwise, RBG, Petrofac, Vetco, Reeves and Oiltools (oil services); Esmalglass (ceramic tile); Damcos (process equipment ); RDS Helix and EPS (oil consulting services); Radius (plastics) and Concept Systems (seismic equipment). Neil has served on the boards of quoted and unquoted UK and Scandinavian businesses. Neil has a masters degree in materials science from Oxford University, and MBA from Cranfield.
