Biography

Pieter joined 3i as a Director in 2004. He led the investment in Electrawinds and is at the board of the company. He has more than 15 years of experience in corporate finance, management and operations. He started his career at Stork in the USA, before joining the Van Den Boom Groep, a corporate finance consulting firm in the Benelux, where he became partner responsible for M&A. After selling the company to NIB Capital Bank, Pieter headed the Advisory department. Before joining 3i, Pieter was managing director of Eiffel, a specialist service provider in Legal and Finance. Pieter specializes in minority investments in growing businesses in The Netherlands and Belgium. Further he focuses on the healthcare and renewable energy industries. Pieter has an MBA degree from Georgia State University (USA) and a BBA degree from Nijenrode University (Netherlands).
