Our people

Rémi is currently the co-Head of France and leads our Buy-Out activity in France. He has been involved in several transactions in the Services and Industrials sectors, mainly based in France.

In 2010 he led deals in VEDICI, a French group of private clinics, and in TRESCAL, a European leader in calibration services. He supported the latter in its acquisitions in Europe and more importantly in its first in-roads into the US. More recently Rémi led the ETANCO deal, the French and Italian leader in construction fastening systems for roof, facades. He now sits on the boards of all these companies.

In the past Rémi led other successful deals such as Ineum (consulting) and KEOLIS (public transport) in which he supported the management in several acquisitions in Europe and in major transformation projects. He then led the exit. Rémi has also contributed to deals outside France such as Druck Chemie, Inspecta and Inspicio and the successful restructuring of Aviapartner.

Prior to joining 3i, he founded and headed a French venture capital firm in Tunisia (1990-1994) where he led 17 deals. He then spent five years (1994-1999) with 3i where he headed the Northern France region, completing several buyouts and growth capital deals. Then he spent three years with McKinsey, where he led numerous strategic and organisational projects for international groups, as well as doing due diligence on large MBOs for various private equity firms. Rémi rejoined 3i in April 2003.

Rémi has a degree in Accounting and Finance from the Paris Business School (ESCP) and an executive MBA (sponsored by McKinsey).
