Richard Kilner joined 3i in 1997 after 19 years in the UK construction industry. He is the Partner responsible for construction and real estate and also chairs the business services sector. Deals he has been involved in include HSS, Coor Services, STEN and Navayuga Engineering. He has also worked extensively on the project to create the 3i Knowledge and Research Centre in Bangalore.

Prior to 3i, Richard worked for Cliffe Group and Parkman. Richard is a Chartered Civil Engineer and a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers. He has a BSc Honours Degree in civil engineering from Cape Town University.
