Biography

Robert is a Partner in 3i's Benelux team and focuses on General Industries deal flow within Benelux since he joined 3i in 2005. Robert had a leading role in the buy-out of ABX LOGISTICS. He sits on the board of ABX LOGISTICS Worldwide SA and Aviapartner. Prior to joining 3i, he was Partner at Permira in their Paris office for five years, with an emphasis on deal sourcing and execution in France and the Benelux. He was involved in Permira's investments in Maxeda (formerly VendexKBB) and Cognis.

Robert has extensive experience in European buy-outs and leveraged finance with Salomon Smith Barney (now Citigroup) in London, Citibank in London and Chase Manhattan Bank (now JP Morgan) in New York. He holds a degree in Business Administration for the University of Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium), a Law degree from the University of Louvain (Leuven, Belgium) and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
