Biography
Robert joined 3i in 2005 as a Partner, focusing on General Industrial deal flow in the Benelux region. During this time he has been involved in a.o. ABX LOGISTICS, Aviapartner and VNU Media and currently sits on the board of Aviapartner, HYVA and VNU Media. Prior to joining 3i, Robert was a Partner at Permira in their Paris office for five years, with an emphasis on deal sourcing and execution in France and the Benelux.
Robert has extensive experience in European buyouts and leveraged finance with Salomon Smith Barney (now Citigroup) in London, Citibank in London and Chase Manhattan Bank (now JP Morgan) in New York. He holds a degree in Business Administration for the University of Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium), a Law degree from the University of Louvain (Leuven, Belgium) and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
