Scott joined 3i in 2007 as a Director in the Infrastructure team with a primary focus on investment origination, selection and execution. Scott has 12 years experience in the Infrastructure sector, spanning Utilities, Transportation and Social Infrastructure.

Most recently, Scott was responsible for leading the €1.5bn acquisition of Vattenfall’s Finnish electricity distribution and district heating businesses on behalf of 3i. He continues to be involved as a director on the board of the electricity distribution business.

Scott is also currently involved in the Thameslink Rolling Stock procurement project, where 3i Infrastructure is a shareholder in the Siemens led preferred bidder consortium, Cross London Trains.

In 2010 Scott played a leading role in the £2.1bn acquisition of Eversholt Rail Group from HSBC and has been closely involved in the subsequent investment management, including the 2011 bond issue and associated refinancing.

Previously, Scott was responsible for successfully exited investments in junior debt of Associated British Ports, Arqiva, Thames Water, Telediffusion de France, and Viridian. The £120m junior debt investment programme returned an IRR of 11.6% over the 3 year investment period.
