Biography

Simon is a partner in the European buyouts team. He has been at 3i since 2000 and has more than eight years of international investment experience. He started his career at Andersen Business Consulting, focusing on corporate and operational strategy in international businesses across a variety of sectors.

Simon leads the technology practice for 3i Buyouts. Key deals that he has been involved in include: E2V technologies, a designer and manufacturer of electronic components for niche markets; Williams Lea, a provider of outsourced document and information management services; Refresco, a pan European soft drinks business; Buy as you view the UK's leading subprime hire purchase retailer; the P2P of a leading content owner - chorion plc; telecity redbus and leading the PTP of Civica in the software and services public sector space. Board positions at Refresco, Buy as you view and Civica. Simon is a member of the Corporate Finances Representatives association. He has a first class honours degree from Southampton University in Economic Geography.
