Biography

Steffen is partner in the 3i buyout business. Steffen has been with 3i since 2001 and has more than 12 years of international investment and corporate finance experience.  He started his career in 1990 with a Copenhagen-based accountancy firm before joining Deloitte & Touche in 1995. With Deloitte & Touche, Steffen worked in accountancy for one year and in corporate finance for five years in London and Copenhagen. Steffen specialises in buyout investments in the Nordic region and on transport deals throughout Europe. Key deals that he has been involved in include; Damcos (former Danfoss Marine Systems), one of the world's leading manufactures of components for the remote control of valves, tank measurement and tank management systems to marine and off-shore, and Scandlines the largest ferry operator in the Baltic Sea. Steffen is a member of the Association of State-Authorised Public Accountants in Denmark (FSR). He has an MSc in Business Economics and a BSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Copenhagen Business School and is a CPA in Denmark.
