Steffen Thomsen has been employed at 3i since 2001 and has more than fourteen years’ experience of international investments and corporate finance. Steffen specialises in buyouts in the Nordic market.

Key deals that he has been involved in include: Damcos (formerly Danfoss Marine Systems), one of the world’s leading component manufacturers for valve remote control systems and tank gauging systems for the marine and offshore industry; Scandlines, one of northern Europe’s largest shipping companies; Axellia and GES.

He began his career in 1990 at a Copenhagen-based accountancy firm before joining

Deloitte & Touche in 1995. At Deloitte & Touche, Steffen spent a year in accountancy

and five years in corporate finance in London and Copenhagen. Steffen has an MSc in Business Economics and a BSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Copenhagen Business School and is a CPA in Denmark.
