Biography

Stuart joined 3i in July 2006 and is an Investment Director in our Growth Capital business and he has a particular focus on the Financial Services sector. He is responsible for the origination and execution of transactions in the UK and European markets and his remit is to invest up to €250m for minority stakes in market leading growth businesses. Transactions completed since joining the team include Kneip Communications, a Luxembourg based outsourced services provider to the financial services industry; Foster + Partners, the world's leading architectural services firm; and Giraffe Concepts Limited, a roll-out of this chain of UK restaurants.

Prior to joining 3i he spent 4 years with BA Capital Partners, the European private equity group funded by Bank of America. He started his career as a strategic consultant with Ernst & Young and more recently he founded a financial services company. He has a first class degree from University College London (UCL) where he majored in physical chemistry and business, and he is fluent in English and French.
