1-2-3.tv is Germany’s first auction-based home-shopping television channel.

The channel’s interactive format offers viewers and internet users large discounts on high-value products, with prices determined by the participants. It reaches over 25 million homes by cable and satellite.

The channel was founded by experienced directors of the Home Shopping Europe channel, and began broadcasting in October 2004.

Products are largely sourced at low cost via the well-established spot-markets for goods from over-production and bankruptcies. Unlike many internet-based auctions, 1-2-3.tv offers full product warranty.

Television production is carried out at external studios. Logistics, warehousing and contact centre operations are also outsourced.

Based in Munich, the firm employs around 50 people. The total number of employees will be increased to 80 in the near future.
