Established in 2000, Advanced focuses on developing power generation plants throughout Europe and North America. The company identifies attractive markets, finds suitable development sites and then partners, taking projects from the planning and commercial phases, through to construction ready or financial close. Advanced is currently pursuing projects in Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, Spain, The Netherlands, the UK and US. The management team, mostly former senior executives of InterGen, has a proven track record, having led over 4GW of power generation projects and €2bn of limited resource project financing. These include the €461m Rijnmond Energy project in The Netherlands and the £492m Spalding Energy Project in the UK, both developed and owned by InterGen.
