Nature of Business
Everis is a multinational consulting firm that offers its clients comprehensive IT solutions covering all aspects of the value chain, from business strategy through to systems implementation. The business actively operates in the Banking, Healthcare, Industry, Insurance, Media, Public Sector, Telecom and Utilities sectors.
Everis was created in Spain in 1996 as DMR Consulting, its name until October 2006 and quickly expanded into Europe and Latin America. At present, the company has offices in thirteen countries and more than 9000 staff.
Investment Overview
3i invested €44m of growth capital in July 2007, taking a minority stake in the business. Our objective has been to work in partnership with the strong management team to drive international growth with a view to a possible future IPO.
We have worked closely with management to support the business, reinforcing Corporate Governance, accelerating international growth, specifically in Latin America, and expanding areas of expertise. We have also introduced to the Board, John de Zulueta, a member of 3i's Spanish Advisory Board and former CEO of BUPA Spain.
In 2010, we supported the re-financing of Everis, advising the company on key aspects of a syndicated loan for €70m in order to drive its expansion plan. Building on its consistent organic growth, Everis will make investments to meet two main lines of action: its presence in new markets and diversification of its existing business.
