Fosters Traditional Foods Group is a leading distributor of premium food, confectionery and snack products.

Fosters has a customer base of more than 4,000 retailers across the UK, with coverage in most distribution channels, servicing leading retailers in the independent, multiples, department and convenience store sectors. Turnover in 2005 is expected to rise to £25m.

Founded in 1973, with headquarters in Market Harborough, England, the company employs 150 staff, including a sales force of over 30 and a dedicated direct-delivery team. It has four divisions:

– Fosters Traditional Foods, which supplies own-brand food and confectionery to specialist retailers and independents;

– Foodfinders, which supplies branded products such as John West, Van Smirren, DucDo and Italo Suisse;

– Sweetworld, which supplies high-quality pick-and-mix confectionery and;

– The Chambers Candy Company, which supplies personalised confectionery and biscuits, including its L’Amour Victorian Cachous, Elizabethan Comfits and Fabergé collection to UK and export customers
