Hobbs prides itself on providing excellent customer service to its target audience of 30-55 year old women. Hobbs’ design team aims to provide its sophisticated customer base with “modern classics, effortless style and exceptional service”.

The business is headquartered in London and employs approximately 1,000 people. It is one of the most successful names on the high street, with over 100 branches throughout the UK and Ireland.

Hobbs is looking to expand its network of stores in the UK and Ireland, and is also considering international expansion, with prospective openings in the Middle East, Asia and the US in the next few years.

Hobbs has also expanded its product range, with licences granted for eyewear and home furnishings. The introduction into its UK stores of a jewellery range and limited edition collection has been very well received.

Operationally, the company has recently recruited a new creative director, Sandy Verdon. Sandy joined from Jaeger and is now responsible for the design and creative vision of the Hobbs brand. Sandy’s first collection for Hobbs will be for Spring/Summer 2009.
